Our Lizette label is named after the beloved matriarch of the Haskell family, Elisabeth “Liz” Haskell. Sadly, we lost Liz in 2019, but the memory of her lively character and elegance aptly lives on in Lizette.

Grenache Blanc, a relative of the red Grenache grape, originated in Spain before moving to France where it is currently the fourth most widely planted white grape varietal. In recent years, Grenache Blanc has found its way to the Central Coast of CA where it enjoys our hot days and cool nights. This climate helps the grapes develop their prime qualities: rich full body and crisp acids. Ballard Canyon, the AVA where our grapes come from, sources their vines from the Rhone Valley in France.

Often used as a blending grape, at Boscoe we make a 100% Grenache Blanc, again, letting the grapes speak for themselves.

92 Boscoe 2017 Lizette Rancho Boa Vista Vineyard Grenache Blanc (Ballard Canyon). This single-vineyard expression starts with aromas of lemon peel, dried apple and a wet stone minerality on the nose. It’s tightly wound on the sip, with a citrus-rind element that leads into a creamier midpalate, as a steely minerality and brisk apple-peel flavors pushing into the finish.

LIFE IS SHORT.
DON’T MISS OUT.

We select only the best grapes and take great care in making what we believe are outstanding wines. As a small producer, we limit ourselves to under 500 cases per year which is manageable for us, but it also means that we will run out.

Reserve future vintages now, and even access our limited selection of library wines, by joining our Collectors Club today while we are still accepting members.
